At the time of the whole drama, the actress revealed that the show runners had to let her go, because they didn’t known what to with her character, Malefu. Moshidi Motshegwa revealed that what happened to her was cruel, because she had just signed a new contract 20 days before she was told there was no storyline for Malefu.

However she revealed that the real gist lay in her conflict, with first time actress, Larona Moagi who plays Tumi. Moshidi Motshegwa was accused of bullying Larona Moagi at the time and said one of the show runners even reprimanded her over the matter.

“I had had a disagreement with Gwydion, one of the executive producers. He reprimanded me and told me that I was being ‘cruel’ and I needed to stop. One of the younger actresses had complained that she can’t act (with me) because I am being cruel to her” she said

Moshidi Motshegwa pointed out that Larona Moagi was not given enough support to help her with her craft and she was in fact one of the people that pointed out that she needed support and  she would help her.

However the sassy actress couldn’t help but take another partying shot at Larona Moagi.

In all fairness, prior to her appearance in The River, Larona Moagi had never acted before and the producers took a gamble by letting her grow into the role and it seems to be paying off to an extend.
